Boy Wants Fire Engine Photo, Gets The Moon

Associated Press

An 11-year-old boy who wanted a picture of a fire engine got a caboose instead - the human kind.

Three firefighters were suspended for sending him a photograph of a man’s buttocks with a fire station in the background.

The boy’s father had asked the Jacksonville Fire-Rescue Department for a picture of a fire engine for his son.

As a joke, the three firefighters took a picture of a man’s buttocks.

Fire Chief Ray Alfred sent the family a letter and apologized for the firefighters’ “despicable act and behavior.” He also sent a baseball cap and fire department patches.
