Girl Says Man Tried To Lure Her Into His Car

From Staff Reports

A 13-year-old girl told police that a man tried to entice her into his car Monday morning.

The girl told officers she was walking north on Moccasin Road on her way to the bus stop at about 7:05 a.m.

A car pulled up along side of where she was walking, according to a report from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.

The male driver, a young man, stopped the vehicle, got out and said to her, “Come on honey, get in the car,” according to the report.

The girl said she turned and ran to her home and told her grandmother what happened.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 19 or 20 years old, with black hair. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball hat. The car was described as a smaller, two-door model, possibly a hatchback with Washington license plates. The girl said the car appeared to be a primer gray color, as though it needed a paint job.
