High Iq Sperm Bank Founder Dies At 90

Robert Klark Graham, who believed intelligence could be bred and who established a sperm bank that originally accepted sperm only from Nobel Prize winners, died Thursday. He was 90.

Graham died in Seattle at a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He was found in the bathtub of his hotel room after hitting his head in a fall, said his wife, Marta Everton Graham.

Robert Graham also was a renowned optical physicist who developed shatterproof eyeglass lenses.

His Repository for Germinal Choice takes credit for fathering more than 212 children since it was opened in 1980 in Escondido, Calif.

By the 1990s, the center accepted sperm from nonscientists. Researchers scoured Who’s Who and other publications, searching for accomplished men who had IQs of at least 140.
