Pullman Man Killed In One-Car Accident

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Pullman man was killed Saturday in a one-car accident on state Highway 26 in Adams County. Leif Dahl, 57, died of head injuries, the Washington State Patrol said.

The man’s wife, Carol, 55, who was driving their 1993 Ford Explorer, was treated and released from Ritzville Hospital, the state patrol said.

The accident happened about 3 p.m. when the westbound Explorer left the highway five miles east of Washtucna, skidded into a ditch, returned to the road and rolled 2-1/2 times, coming to rest on its roof.

Carol Dahl was wearing her seat belt, the state patrol said. It was not immediately known if her husband was also strapped in.
