Two Teenage Girls Arrested After Attempted Knife Attack

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two teenage girls reported to be runaways were in police custody after an attempted knife attack on another girl.

Corvallis police said the third girl was unharmed in the attack last Wednesday.

The 13-year-old girl’s parents turned her in to police Saturday, and she was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.

Later, police learned the 14-year-old girl was staying at a Newport home, and took her into custody.

Police say the girls went to a Corvallis house, saying they may have left makeup in the third girl’s bedroom.

The girls are accused of pushing the third girl on the floor while one of them held a knife and made stabbing motions. The third girl fended off the blows with her arms, and when her mother arrived home, the other two fled.
