Students Of The Month Chosen At Area Schools

The Sandpoint Elks Lodge recently honored local high school seniors as Students of the Month for January and February. Students and their schools are listed.

January: Katie Morman, Bonners Ferry High School; Chelsea Pennick, Clark Fork High School; Tessa Bennett, Sandpoint High School; Christine Coyle, Priest River High School; and Annjila Boggs, Lake Pend Oreille Alternative High School.

February: Andrew Mason, Priest River High School; Sara Tuma, Bonners Ferry High School; Cynthia Worcester, Clark Fork High School; and Carson Jeffries, Sandpoint High School.

Lakeland Junior High School recently selected Students of the Month for January.

Anita Maltba, a ninth-grader and daughter of Roy and Doris Maltba of Rathdrum; Erica McNamara, an eighth-grader and daughter of Jim and Jackie McNamara of Post Falls; and Amy Fletcher, a seventh-grader and daughter of Rocky and Delores Fletcher of Athol.

Students are chosen based on positive attitudes toward staff and students, involvement in various activities and a willingness to learn.

Heidi Strobel, a senior at Post Falls High School, was recently named the Student of the Month for January by the newly formed Post Falls Rotary.

Strobel, daughter of Don and Sandi Strobel of Post Falls, is an honor student and is active in volleyball and track. She plans to attend North Idaho College and Eastern Washington University, majoring in sports medicine.

The North Idaho Imaging Center (NIIC) recently became the only facility in Idaho or Spokane to be awarded a three-year term of accreditation in ultrasound as a result of a survey recently held by the American College of Radiology (ARC).

The ARC is a national organization focusing on the practice of radiology and the delivery of comprehensive health services. NIIC is a full service diagnostic radiology facility jointly owned by Kootenai Medical Center and Radiology Associates of North Idaho.
