Chargers Walk A Very Fine Line

Ben Peterson usually boosts Springdale from the inside, but his outside touch is just as helpful.

Peterson, a 6-foot-6 post, sank two free throws with 7 seconds left Wednesday to seal Springdale’s 43-40 win over Selkirk in a Panorama League tournament game at Colville that decided the Nos. 3 and 4 seeds to the District 7-B Tournament. The teams had split their season series.

The Chargers (17-7) open district play at 6 Tuesday night against Bi-County League No. 2, either Reardan or Almira/Coulee-Hartline.

The Rangers (17-6) open district at 7:45 Monday against Bi-Co No. 1, also Reardan or ACH.
