Statue Donated To Honor Rabin

American artist Roy Lichtenstein has donated a steel statue to be placed in a Jerusalem park in memory of late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

The 31-foot statue, “A Modern Head,” was donated by Lichtenstein to the Friends of the Israel Museum in the United States, and is worth about $2.5 million, the municipality said Thursday.

An unveiling ceremony next month will be attended by Rabin’s widow Leah and Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert.
