Legislative action scheduled in Olympia this week includes:

Monday

10 a.m., Senate Hearing Room 3, John A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Government Operations Committee public hearing on SB 5802, attempting to integrate planning, review, and terminology among growth management, environmental, and ecological protection, and other related areas. Also being heard is SB 5915, allowing counties planning under the Growth Management Act to establish industrial land banks as permissible urban growth outside of an urban growth area.

10 a.m., House Hearing Room B, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Commerce and Labor Committee hearing on HB 1911, revising restrictions on the employment of minors.

6 p.m., House Hearing Room B, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Health Care Committee public hearing on HB 1628, funding abstinence education.

Tuesday

10 a.m., House Hearing Room A, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Law and Justice Committee public hearing on HB 1696, limiting funding for abortion.

1:30 p.m., House Hearing Room D, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Capital Budget Committee public hearing on requests for capital projects not included in former Governor Mike Lowry’s 1997-99 capital budget.

3:30 p.m., House Hearing Room A, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Appropriations Committee public hearing on HB 2024, prohibiting the use of state funds for promoting a sexual minority initiative.

Wednesday

1:30 p.m., House Hearing Room A, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Law and Justice Committee public hearing on HB 1666, protecting unborn children from abuse.
