Snappy Dressing

As Asian-inspired cuisine becomes more commonplace, cooks are finding out there’s a lot more to ginger than just bread, snaps and ale. Bashan’s Ginger Dressing and Marinade, made in Boise, adds exotic taste as a topping for salads, a marinade for meats or a sauce for stir-fries. While a bit thin in texture, there’s plenty of flavor from tamari soy sauce, vinegar, canola oil, raw turbinado sugar, miso (fermented soybean paste) and, of course, fresh ginger.

Think of it as health food gone gourmet, with an Eastern accent - Far Eastern, that is.
