Sex Offender Living In Spokane

A convicted sex offender considered a danger to re-offend is living in Spokane, police said.

Michael L. Thompson, 51, recently moved from Western Washington. He has convictions for indecent liberties, sodomy and incest, police said.

Thompson is known to target teenage girls and once used a knife to threaten a victim.

The state Department of Corrections has forbidden him from having contact with anyone under 18, and he is not allowed to associate with women who have minor children.

Thompson is white, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 130 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Police said he is not wanted on any charges now, but that residents should be aware of his presence. The department refused to provide further information on where Thompson is living. , DataTimes ILLUSTRATION: Photo
