Fourth-Quarter Foul Shots Help Gar-Pal Sink Colfax

Garfield-Palouse made 9 of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter to stop visiting winless Colfax 57-42 in a non-league boys basketball game thrown together when weather canceled Colfax’s tournament last weekend.

Jeremy Fox made 6 of 8 field goals inside 3-point range and had five assists, and Joe Hall added nine rebounds for Gar-Pal (7-0). Colfax coach Bob Bafus, three wins shy of 600 for his career, couldn’t attend after slipping at home and gashing his leg. The Bulldogs are 0-7.
