Last year’s smartest women’s basketball team was Rider College, according to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
The organization began compiling the nation’s highest grade-point averages in the sport and the Broncos, located in Lawrenceville, N.J., near Princeton, were No. 1.
Rider’s mark was 3.475 average, ahead of Wyoming, which was second with a 3.37 mark. The women’s squad also compiled the highest grade-point average of the 19 varsity sports in the school’s athletic program.
