Gary Cuff Graduates From Fbi Academy

Kootenai County Undersheriff Gary Cuff, a 21-year Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department veteran responsible for the department’s budget and personnel matters, recently graduated from the FBI National Academy Program at Quantico, Va.

Cuff, who holds a bachelor’s degree from Lewis-Clark State College and serves on the Governor’s Idaho Drug Strategy Advisory Board, began his career with KCSD as a jailer and has worked in the patrol, narcotics and detective divisions. He gained the rank of captain and was appointed undersheriff in 1993 by Sheriff Pierce Clegg.

Jennifer Leigh, Hayden Lake, graduated after the summer term at Washington State University with a degree in mathematics.

Kram H. Allen, a University of Idaho computer science student and a member of the Coeur d’Alene/Nez Perce Tribes, has been selected as a National Dean’s List award winner and will also receive a National Collegiate Minority Leadership Award.

Kram, son of Ch’n’na and Sue Allen of Plummer, will have his biography featured in the upcoming national publications of the 1995-96 National Dean’s List Collegiate Yearbook and the 1995-96 U.S. Achievement Academy Official Collegiate Yearbook.

Kram, a member of the Native American Student Association, Tau Kappa Epsilon and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, was cited for interest and aptitude, academic performance, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and citizenship. He was also noted for dependability and a good attitude and cooperative spirit.

Kram, who will be serving a second-year summer internship with Hewlett-Packard under the SEED Internship Program, will be working in the Personal LaserJet Division at the Boise plant.

Dean’s List Award winners are selected based on exclusive recommendations by deans, registrars, professional fraternity officers and honor society directors.
