Body Found In Park Leads To Three More Inside Home

From Staff And Wire Reports

Children found the body of a young woman in a park in this Seattle suburb on Sunday, and her identification led officers to a nearby house where they found the bodies of two more women and a man.

The deaths appear to be linked and are being investigated as homicides, said police Lt. Bill Ferguson.

Children spotted what they thought was a pile of clothing Saturday in Woodridge Water Tower Park. They returned to the site Sunday and realized there was a body, Ferguson said.

Officers said the fully clothed body in the park was that of a white female in her teens or early 20s. Identification papers on the victim led police to a two-story rancher-style house a few blocks away.

A detective tried the front door and found it unlocked. He called out, but no one answered.

The detective went inside and found the bodies of one female and a male in one room and another female in a different room, Ferguson said.

Neighbors said the bodies fit the description of the family of four who lived in the house. Police wouldn’t say if the victims were related.

Autopsies by the King County medical examiner’s office were to be done today. xxxx
