Virginia Bounces Back, Tops Duke
Monick Foote scored 21 points and Tora Suber had 18 Monday night as No. 13 Virginia bounced back from a loss two nights earlier with a 62-55 women’s college basketball victory against No. 14 Duke.
Virginia (9-3, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) was held to 19 second-half points in a 58-44 loss to No. 20 Clemson on Saturday night.
After leading Duke (10-3, 2-1) 21-20 at the break, the Cavaliers outscored the Blue Devils 41-35.
Duke, which used just seven players, was led by Tyish Hall’s 19 points.
