Chiefs Finally Get A Victory On Road

Ty Jones and Joe Cardarelli scored second-period goals as the Spokane Chiefs ended an 11-game road winless streak with a 2-1 Western Hockey League victory over the Prince George Cougars Tuesday night.

Spokane’s last road victory came on Nov. 3 in Seattle.

Chiefs goaltender Marc Magliarditi made 41 saves. He robbed Blair Betts with 24 seconds left and then stopped Peter Roed at point-blank range with 2.2 seconds remaining.

Prince George’s lone goal came in the third period on Ronald Petrovicky’s power-play score.
