Fast-Fudging

When you want to whip up a chocolaty treat without a lot of work, fudge a little.

Bumpercrop of Dayton, Wash., best known for its sweet-hot barley mustard, also makes a fudge mix that microwaves for a mere 2 minutes, in plain, mint, peanut butter and raspberry.

Or, if ordinary fudge isn’t your cup of tea, try the chocolate fudge Cup of Coffee Cake mix, which comes with the cup to cook it in.

Price: Fudge mix, about $5; coffee cup with three cake mixes, about $14.
