Miami coach Jimmy Johnson, in response to a Chicago Tribune report that Dan Marino could be traded to the Bears, said the veteran quarterback will remain with the Dolphins.

“There have been no discussions of any sort with anybody about Dan Marino,” Johnson said. “Dan Marino is a Miami Dolphin. He will remain a Miami Dolphin.”

Former San Diego Chargers coach Bobby Ross was in Detroit Tuesday to meet with Detroit Lions officials about their vacant coaching position.

Ross, 60, resigned as coach of the Chargers last Friday.

The woman claiming she was sexually assaulted at the home of Dallas Cowboys star Erik Williams told police in her affidavit that Williams and teammate Michael Irvin used cocaine that night. Detectives have said they had found no evidence of drug use.
