Save Money When Buying Cereal

Seattle Times

Here are money-saving tips for buying cereal:

Buy larger boxes; they usually cost less per ounce. Be sure and check, though, because that isn’t always the case.

Try store brands; they’re usually cheaper than national brands.

Buy cereals in bulk; some varieties are available this way, especially at natural-foods stores.

Switch to noninstant hot cereals; they’re less expensive.
