Women’s Top 25: Odu Tops Tennessee

Ticha Penicheiro scored 25 points and Clarisse Machanguana had 22 as No. 2 Old Dominion defeated ninth-ranked and defending national champion Tennessee 83-72 Tuesday night in Norfolk, Va.

Trailing by eight points, Old Dominion (12-1) scored 12 unanswered points take a 51-47 lead with about 13 minutes to go. Tennessee (10-6) didn’t get close again.

(6) Alabama 68, (18) Auburn 65

Shalonda Enis scored 18 points and the Crimson Tide (12-2, 2-0 SEC) held off a second-half rally for their 10th straight win, a victory over the Tigers (10-3, 0-2) in Auburn, Ala.
