Coke Quietly Changes Its Look

Associated Press

The Coca-Cola Co., without announcement, has changed the design of the cans that carry its major brand.

The Atlanta-based soft drink giant has eliminated the vertical white ribbon on its cans of Coca-Cola Classic and changed the wording design. The Coca-Cola logo, formerly vertical, is now almost horizontal, and wording has been added so that the can reads, “Always Coca-Cola Classic.”

The new design has been quietly introduced in Atlanta, New York, Chicago and other cities and will be introduced systemwide over the next two months.
