Raptors Grow Healthier

Associated Press

The Toronto Raptors got a little healthier Thursday night - on the floor and in the standings.

Damon Stoudamire made two 3-pointers in the final 2:38 and scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Raptors to a 110-96 win over the Utah Jazz.

Toronto welcomed back Walt Williams and Marcus Camby from the disabled list and ended a four-game losing streak.

Stoudamire scored 27 points to lead the Raptors, who used an 18-4 run the last 5 minutes to break open a tie game.

“Having Walt (Williams) and Doug Christie spotting up, and having Marcus back really helped,” said Stoudamire. “It showed that when we’re healthy, we’re a pretty good team.”

Williams, who scored 17 points in his first game back from a sprained ankle, made two free throws with 4:46 left to give Toronto a 94-92 lead. Christie followed with a 3-pointer to put the Raptors ahead by five.

Karl Malone had 10 rebounds and John Stockton had 13 points and 14 assists for the Jazz, who have lost seven straight road games and five of six overall.
