Tyson Won’t Fight Until Rematch

Mike Tyson will not take a tuneup fight before his rematch with Evander Holyfield, which could be held as soon as May 3 at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas.

Promoter Don King said that Tyson will not fight on a March 15 card and instead will go directly into a May fight against Holyfield. The hotel reportedly wasn’t willing to use one of its remaining two dates for Tyson to fight an inferior opponent simply to get his confidence back.
