Escaped Prisoner Captured In Closet

From Staff And Wire Reports

A prison inmate, missing 15 months since escaping from a prison facility, has been captured and arrested as he hid in the closet of a friend’s apartment.

The Department of Correction said Monday that Cameron Haworth, 20, is being held in the Bannock County Jail under $250,000 bond. He will be taken to Idaho County to face a felony escape charge.

The agency said Haworth was serving time at the state prison at Orofino for Bannock County forgery, burglary and substance abuse convictions and a burglary from Power County.

Since his arrest, Haworth was arrested in South Dakota for drunken driving, but escaped. He also had two felony theft warrants outstanding in Montana.
