Emerald Cuts Schedule

Emerald Downs, the state’s new horse racing track, has canceled its scheduled Friday programs for the remainder of the winter.

Track officials announced there will be racing only on Saturdays and Sundays plus Monday, Martin Luther King Jr., Day, and Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 17, through closing day, March 2.

Emerald Downs had canceled four of its first six Friday programs because of insufficient entries. Including weather-caused cancellations, the revised schedule leaves the track with only 28 of its originally scheduled 41 days.
