Inland Empire League girls scoring leader Lindsay Herbert hit four 3-pointers Thursday in A-1 top-ranked Lake City’s 58-39 league win at Post Falls.

Herbert and Alison Asher scored 17 apiece and the Timberwolves (14-2, 4-0) held the Trojans (7-6, 2-2) to 21 percent shooting from the field. Asher finished 6 of 9 from the field.

Jessica Waltz had 11 rebounds and Janelle Ruen eight rebounds and four steals for PF.

Lakeland won the rebounding edge 22-19. League scoring leader Amy Lemon of Kellogg scored 21, while teammate Casey Magnus had seven rebounds.

League scoring leader Angela Flint hit for 21, including 3 of 4 on 3-pointers, to guide the visiting Knights (5-6, 2-1) past the league-leading Eagles (6-7, 3-1) at Post Falls.

Margaret SiJohn hit 8 of 15 from the floor for Lakeside, which made 49 percent from the field to FC’s 16 percent. For the Eagles, Meghann Jenkins and Kara Moate had seven rebounds apiece and Carmi Eberle added six steals.
