Baskerville Hounds Ewu As Weber State Win Easily

Damien Baskerville and Alex Fisher scored 27 and 24 points respectively to lead Weber State to a 98-69 victory over Eastern Washington Wednesday night.

Baskerville also had 11 rebounds, seven steals and five assists. He scored 16 points, including two back-to-back 3-pointers, during a 5-minute period that gave the Wildcats an 83-52 lead with 6:53 to play.

EWU (6-11, 2-5) was led by Travis King with 22 points. Kevin Lewis added 12, including 10 in the first half.

Fisher led Weber State (7-9 overall, 3-4 Big Sky Conference) in the first half, scoring 18 points and making three 3-pointers.

With 6:39 left in the half, Ryan Cuff hit a 3-pointer to give the Wildcats their widest margin of the half, 32-19.

EWU then outscored the Wildcats 10-1 to cut the margin to 33-29 with 2:05 to play.

Weber came back with a 7-1 run, with Baskerville scoring four of the points, to give the Wildcats a 40-30 lead at halftime.

Weber State increased its lead in the second half and led 62-48 with 11:55 to play.
