Body Builder Arrested For Steroid Possession

Spokane police say they have arrested a local body builder for steroid possession with intent to manufacture.

Though the arrest was made last month, Spokane police just released details because the investigation is continuing.

Lance Vernon Anders, 30, was arrested when he tried to pick up a package of steroids en route to Spokane from McAllen, Texas. A U.S. Customs dog in Texas detected the contents of the package.

When the parcel arrived in Spokane, police obtained a search warrant and arrested Anders when he went to pick it up.

Police then searched his residence at E. 814 Olympic and found additional steroids, authorities said.

The investigation is continuing, and more arrests could be made, police said.
