Police Arrest Woman Wanted For Rape

SATURDAY, JAN. 25, 1997

Spokane police arrested a woman wanted on first-degree rape and second-degree assault charges Thursday night for the second time.

Theresa Marie Spickler-Bowe, 36, was arrested without incident near Elk, Wash., and is in jail under a $100,000 bond.

Spickler-Bowe and her sister, Eunice Eickhoff, are accused of raping and torturing Eickhoff’s long-time boyfriend.

Authorities initially charged Spickler-Bowe with just an assault charge, and she bonded out of jail soon after she was arrested the first time. When the rape charge was added, police were concerned that she would try to leave town.

Investigators say Spickler-Bowe and Eickhoff raped the man with a broomstick, repeatedly beat him and burned him with a hot spatula.
