Disaster Victims Offered Loan Help

From Staff Reports

Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration will be in Sandpoint today and Friday to help disaster victims with applications for loans.

The SBA has already approved 38 low interest disaster loans for storm victims in the Northwest, totaling $937,100.

The low-interest loans are available to homeowners, renters and non-farm businesses that suffered damage from either the New Year’s holiday flooding or from the excessive snowfall in late December and early January.

The SBA representatives will be at the Sandpoint Disaster Recovery Center, in the Interagency Dispatch Department on Ontario Street, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Friday.

For more information, call SBA at (800) 488-5323 during normal business hours. The phone number for hearing-impaired people is (916) 566-7388.
