Final Four To St. Louis

St. Louis edged four other cities to land the NCAA Final Four women’s basketball tournament in 2001.

The NCAA Division I women’s basketball committee made the selection fter hearing presentations from St. Louis; Tampa, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; Indianapolis; and San Antonio.

San Antonio was selected to host the women’s Final Four in 2002.
