Arrests Made In Marysville Slaying

Associated Press

A man whose body was found on the Tulalip Indian Reservation was identified Saturday, and two arrests were made in the case.

The body of Guy J. Fritch, 19, of the Marysville area, was identified through fingerprints, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgenson said.

Detectives learned Fritch had attended a party in the north Marysville area Thursday night at which alcohol and marijuana were used, Jorgenson said.

Based on that and other information, investigators arrested two males, ages 19 and 16, who also had attended the party, she said. They were not immediately identified.

More arrests are expected, Jorgenson said.

Detectives are still determining a motive for Fritch’s apparent slaying. An autopsy is planned for Monday. Investigators are not disclosing whether Fritch’s body, which was found Friday by a passerby, showed any signs of trauma.
