Ireland Re-Elected President Of Now
Patricia Ireland was re-elected as president of the National Organization for Women on Saturday and announced a new campaign aimed at electing 2,000 feminist women to office by 2000.
“Yes, we must fight to maintain the gains we have made over the past 30 years, but we cannot be satisfied with the status quo,” Ireland said Saturday.
More than 500 activists at NOW’s conference re-elected Ireland to a second four-year term.
