Rapper Howse Held On Explosives Charge

Compiled From Wire Services

The founder of the Grammy Award-winning rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was arrested on an explosives charge, but his manager said the rapper was only playing with fireworks.

Officers were called to the home of Stanley V. Howse, 24, early Friday after neighbors reported gunshots. They found “destructive devices” and a cardboard tube with a green fuse, Officer Angela Grant said.

The group won a Grammy this year for “Tha Crossroads.” Its single, “Look Into My Eyes,” was No. 3 on Billboard’s singles chart lastweek.

“It’s not like he had bombs,” manager Gary Ballen said. “He had big fireworks.”
