Cda Club Edged In Final

Tournament MVP Darold Debolt hit a three-run triple in the sixth inning to break open a tight game and lift the Great Falls, Mont., Stallions past the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen 7-6 in Sunday’s championship game of the Spokane AAA American Legion Fourth of July baseball tournament.

The Stallions (5-1) were trailing 4-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth before scoring five runs to take a 7-6 lead. CdA rallied in the seventh, but fell short after scoring two runs.

In the consolation final, the Billings Royals’ seven-run seventh inning lifted them past the Prairie Cardinals 12-4.

Billings’ Chad Lujan had three hits.

In earlier AAA games Sunday, the Spokane Blue Devils defeated the CdA Lumbermen 8-6. Scott Moglia went 4 for 4 with two singles and two doubles for the Devils and Rex Anderson contributed with two hits.

Enumclaw takes home AA crown

Rob White went 4 for 5 with two RBIs and Andy Kuzaro went 3 for 5 to lead the Enumclaw Legion past Spokane Athletic Supply 10-6 in the Spokane AA American Legion Fourth of July baseball tournament championship game.

SAS finished with six singles by six different hitters and committed five errors.

In the consolation final, after going scoreless for five innings, Bellevue Honda scored 10 runs in the sixth inning to defeat Bellevue Grey 10-3.
