Life Of Charles Kuralt Will Be Featured On ‘Biography’

New York Daily News

Late CBS newsman Charles Kuralt will get the full “Biography” treatment Saturday at 9 p.m. on cable’s A&E.

CBS News, which produces a number of “Biography” episodes each season, is working overtime to put the piece together. Kuralt died Friday at age 62.

Show staffers were in North Carolina on Monday doing interviews in Kuralt’s hometown for the piece.

Among the news luminaries expected to be interviewed are CBS’ Mike Wallace, Dan Rather and Don Hewitt, ABC’s Jeff Greenfield and Diane Sawyer and Kuralt’s brother, Wallace.

According to an A&E spokeswoman, the network had not planned a Kuralt “Biography” before his death.

The beloved newsman was best known for his “On the Road” reports and his role as anchor of “CBS Sunday Morning.”
