Dialysis Center’s Groundbreaking Soon

Groundbreaking for the new North Idaho Dialysis Center is planned for July 22 at Kootenai Medical Center.

The $900,000 facility is a joint venture of KMC and Spokane’s Sacred Heart Medical Center. It is expected to be completed by February 1998.

Although the facility will be used for treating kidney dialysis patients, it also will include space for the Inland Northwest Blood Center’s North Idaho operations.

Blood services now are based out of the center’s Spokane clinic.

The new dialysis center will be located on the west side of the KMC campus near the Transitional Care Center.
