Agencies Awarded Homeless Grants

St. Vincent de Paul in Coeur d’Alene and the Bonner County Homeless Task Force were awarded a total of $40,621 in 1997 federal Emergency Shelter Grant funds.

The funds are administered by the Idaho Housing and Finance Association in conjunction with the Idaho Homeless Coordination Network.

St. Vincent de Paul received $20,395 and the Bonner County task force received $20,226.

The grants can be used for homeless prevention activities, rehabilitation, operating expenses or essential services. The IHFA allocated a total of $289,752 in 1997 to 15 organizations across Idaho.
