Governor’s Conference Takes On Future Of Housing

From Staff And Wire Reports

A governor’s conference to discuss Idaho’s long-term housing needs will be held in Boise Sept. 7-9.

The conference will study home ownership, government, multifamily housing and housing diversity.

Local and federal government officials will participate, along with representatives from the housing and finance industries.

Gov. Phil Batt earlier this year assembled a task force to study housing needs and to seek public input.

People wishing to participate in the conference can contact the Idaho Housing and Finance Association at (208) 331-4884.

The cost is $125 if registration occurs before Aug. 1, and $150 after Aug. 1. Government and non-profit agencies receive a $50 discount.
