When she fronted The Pretenders, rocker Chrissie Hynde was known for her raw voice, catchy melodies and uncompromising attitudes.

These days, she’s hardly known at all, having forfeited the spotlight to a legion of young women singer/songwriters.

Still, it seemed fitting that Hynde would again make news in an unusual way. Not that getting married - which the 46-year-old Ohio native did on July 10 in London with 32-year-old Colombian artist Lucho Brieva - is so unusual.

But getting married in blue jeans is. As is having your wedding party, which included Annie Lennox, at a pizza parlor. “We chose Pizza Express because it was so near to our home,” Hynde reportedly explained.

Bill Clinton is a big fan of Harrison Ford’s upcoming movie “Air Force One,” which portrays a president as sensitive, caring and capable of kicking butt. But Clinton’s biggest thrill was sitting with Glenn Close when Ford asked her to co-star. “I feel like I was present at the creation,” Clinton told Newsweek magazine.

But ‘Toys,’ ‘Hollywood Vice Squad,’ ‘Moll Flanders’ were?

Just in case you wondered, here is a list of the movies that Robin Penn Wright has turned down starring roles in: “The Firm,” “Born on the Fourth of July,” “Jurassic Park” and “Batman Forever.” Her explanation: “The just weren’t for me,” she told Esquire magazine.

Others will ask, ‘What’s the meaning of that movie?’

What does Jody Foster want fans to get from her new movie “Contact”? “I hope that everybody goes to a coffee shop after seeing the movie and starts talking about big questions, like ‘What’s the meaning of life?”’ she told Hollywood Online.
