Paul Allen, the sixth-richest man in the world, announced Monday he is consolidating his investment placement and management companies.
Previously, Allen’s Vulcan Ventures investigated and secured his investments, which were then transferred to the Paul Allen Group for management. Both companies were part of Allen’s Vulcan Northwest.
Allen, whose fortune is estimated by Forbes magazine at $14.1 billion, is the co-founder of Microsoft Corp. and owns the Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Seahawks. His other companies include Asymetrics Corp., Starwave Corp., and Interval Research Corp., and he has investments in more than 35 technology, entertainment and media companies.
