Big Week Outdoors

 

There’s no shortage of activities next week for people who enjoy the outdoors.

Rock climbing school sponsored by the Spokane Mountaineers begins with indoor session Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., at Corbin Community Center, then progressing to outdoor venues. Info: 533-9331.

Waterwalker Film Festival, Friday, 7 p.m., at The Met. Three hours of award-winning films. Info: 325-9000.

Spokane River Centennial Trail Festival, Saturday. Includes five-mile walk or run, bike rides, in-line skating, rock climbing, rafting and horse rides. Info: 624-7188.

“Book of Shadows,” free multimedia show by Jarred Ogden, Willy and Damian Baragas on the first ascent of difficult route on Nameless Tower in Pakistan, Saturday, 6 p.m. at Mountain Gear. Info: 325-9000.
