George Carlin’s Book - ‘Brain Droppings’ - Drips Of Wit

Detroit Free Press

George Carlin turned 60 last month, still churning out comedy in quantity - 180 appearances a year plus a total of 18 comedy albums and nine HBO stand-up comedy specials. So it’s surprising that “Brain Droppings” (Hyperion, $19.95) is this prolific comedian’s first book.

The book has thousands of the wry, off-kilter observations that make up Carlin’s performances, including hundreds of such one-liners as: “I put a dollar in a change machine. Nothing changed.” Or, “So far the Ku Klux Klan has not produced any really great composers.”
