Hints From Heloise

Dear Heloise: While doing chores around our small farm I was always wearing holes in the fingers of my right-hand work glove, which I would then discard. Eventually I had several unmated left-hand gloves.

I discovered that if I turned a left-hand glove inside out, it became a right-hand glove and could be used as a mate with one of my extra left-hand gloves! I used needle-nosed pliers to grasp the inside of the fingers to easily reverse them. - Jan Borgman, Chicago Park, Calif.

Dear Heloise: I keep bath salts, bath powders and bath crystals in individual plastic ketchup bottles. The bottles keep them dry and from spilling. I remove the labels and leave the bottles plain, but you could decorate them to match the bathroom. - Naomi Poindexter, Spring Branch, Texas. xxxx
