The Arizona Cardinals signed receiver Chad Carpenter, their fifth-round draft selection out of Washington State, and added free-agent running back Kevin Bouie to their roster.

Carpenter had 107 catches for 1,418 yards and 11 touchdowns in three years with the Cougars, with career highs of 47 catches, 623 yards and eight TDs as a senior.

Former all-pro linebacker Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty in Camden, N.J., to filing a false federal income tax return in 1990. The former New York Giants star faces up to three years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

Jeremy Lincoln, a veteran cornerback who played with the St. Louis Rams last season, has joined the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent.
