Men’s semifinals

Unseeded Gustavo Kuerten eliminated qualifier Filip Dewulf.

Sergi Bruguera (16), two-time champion, defeated unseeded Patrick Rafter.

Women’s doubles semifinals

Top-seeded Gigi Fernandez and Natasha Zvereva beat Martina Hingis and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, ending Hingis’ chance for a singles and doubles double. Americans Mary Joe Fernandez and Lisa Raymond also won.

Today’s schedule

Women’s Finals - Martina Hingis (1), unbeaten this year, looks for her second Grand Slam title against Iva Majoli (9).

Men’s doubles finals - Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde (1), who have won the other three Grand Slam doubles titles, look for their first French Open win facing defending champs Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Daniel Vacek
