Girl’s Condition Upgraded
The condition of a 3-year-old girl who was thrown head-first into a bathtub on June 2 was upgraded on Saturday.
Amanda Welch has gone from critical to serious but stable, a Sacred Heart Medical Center spokesman said Sunday. She is conscious.
Welch was admitted to the hospital with a brain injury after her mother’s boyfriend, Lance Brandvold, allegedly threw her into a bathtub.
Brandvold has been charged with first-degree assault. The girl’s mother is Judy Sorenson.
