Disney Will Sport ‘Goosebumps’

The Hollywood Reporter

Walt Disney World has teamed with Parachute Properties to create an attraction based on R.L. Stine’s “Goosebumps” best-selling book series and the spinoff hit TV series.

The attraction is scheduled to open in October in anticipation of Halloween under the banner “Goosebumps HorrorLand Fright Show and FunHouse.”

The show will be staged on a mock-up of a warehouse loading dock in the New York Street area of Disney-MGM Studios. The performance, which will be repeated five times a day, will feature such “Goosebumps” characters as Curly the skeleton, Slappy the ventriloquist, Khor-Ru the dummy, Amaz-O the Magician, and the Executioner. Two members of the audience will be chosen to participate in each performance.

The attraction will also feature a fun house, the Goosebumps HorrorLand Hall of Mirrors.

“We are delighted to bring the adventures Stine delivers in his books to our dimensions of adventure appealing to kids, teenagers and adults alike,” said Walt Disney World Resort President Al Weiss, who unveiled the project in conjunction with Joan Waricha, chairman and chief executive officer of Parachute Properties.

“Goosebumps” is the top-selling book series in history with nearly 200 million copies in print. Parachute Properties created and packaged “Goosebumps.”
