Four Teens Among 6 Held On Drug Charges

Sheriff’s detectives arrested six people on drug charges last week and seized about 60 marijuana plants.

Four teenagers were among those arrested on drug possession, delivery and manufacturing charges.

Detectives found 30 marijuana plants still growing and a similar number already harvested in the basement of a home at 4206 N. Burns, said Deputy David Reagan, Sheriff’s Department spokesman.

Nolan E. Farnsworth, 34, and his brother Scott E. Farnsworth, 29, were arrested at the house last Thursday when detectives served a search warrant about 2 p.m. The plants and other items used to grow the marijuana were seized, Reagan said.

The brothers were booked into the Spokane County Jail for manufacturing a controlled substance, Reagan said. Scott Farnsworth lives at the house, and Nolan Farnsworth gave his address as 5306 E. Commerce, he said.

The four teenagers also were arrested on drug charges that ranged from misdemeanor possession to felony delivery of a controlled substance. All four were released to relatives.

Deputies discovered the marijuana grow operation while investigating drug possession complaints against the teenagers and called detectives, Reagan said. He refused to provide further details.

Small amounts of marijuana were taken from each of the teenagers, Reagan said. Additionally, one of the teens had three small marijuana plants growing in his back yard, he said.

Deputies also found a marijuana pipe on one of the teens, Reagan said.
